Should you try our Access and Inclusion Training Programme?

Find out what others are saying about our 'Access and Inclusion Training for the Arts'

Have you heard about our Online Access and Inclusion Training yet? We released it last year, and our alumni who come from arts organisations and across the wider arts sector have only had positive things to say about it. So because we’re really proud of the programme, we thought we’d share with you what others have said about it so far.

Let us tell you a little about the training in case this is your first time encountering it. Our training programme helps freelancers and arts organisations work with Disabled artists, staff and welcome in more Disabled audiences. It offers a unique opportunity to listen in on a conversation between Disabled artists, which allows you to understand more about access and inclusion from real-world experiences, and the course includes extensive resources to kickstart curiosity and ground the knowledge acquired. But you don't have to take our word for it.

Here's what others have to say about our training programme!

"It's brilliant! If you're an Arts Organisation or Freelancer and you want to know more about access and inclusion I can't recommend it enough." @jamesarthurlawrnece on Instagram, who wouldn’t appreciate a public shout out?

One of the organisations who have taken part in the training have been The Spark Arts for Children who highlighted that all participants have found the training and the online resources useful to improve their understanding of access and inclusion. The programme gives a good foundation to those with little understanding of access and inclusion:

“It’s a really great and informative training programme- It’s really useful to have digitally for onboarding new staff at different points in the year.” participant from The Spark Arts

And we always recommend discussing what team members have learned as an organisation, it does make a difference to integrate and investigate the new knowledge together.

“The mix of the training of the panel speaking, giving first hand experiences, followed up with the resources was excellent. Really good quality conversations. I think we got more out of the training when time was built in for discussion together.” Access & Inclusion Training Participant

Another great thing about the training, if we say so ourselves, is that while there is important work to do around accessibility and inclusion in that arts, the training won’t always be serious, and it certainly won’t be stuffy. We’re keeping it light and informative.

“I found the training incredibly informative with lots of practical actions to take from each session. I really enjoyed the additional reading included with each module. It was also entertaining and fun.” Access & Inclusion Training Participant
